タキミアカリ 家畜写真家 Artist(1991年生まれ)

Akari TAKIMI Livestock Photographer (b. 1991, JP)
For the first time she left Japan when she was 23 and stayed in New Zealand for a year and 3 months. At farmstays, she met friends from all over the world and realised that the word 'Itadakimasu' is a uniquely Japanese culture. On the other farm, she faced the euthanasia of a calf. Once again she realised that other lives are what keeps us alive. This led her to start a career as a livestock photographer in 2017. Her concept is to make 'Itadakimasu' a universal word. She has photographed livestock animals such as cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens in Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Featured in domestic and international media have commend her unique style. Her work includes photography, exhibitions, speeches and classroom teaching.
